Jess, I found your blog on another mom's blog I glean wisdom from on occasion. Last night for hours I read your journey from Kaylee's birth on. I was deeply moved by all you and precious Kaylee have endured and yet your amazing faith remains in tact. Please know your beautiful family will remain in my daily prayers. I parent two children with early trauma and one of them is disabled. I frequently feek illequipt, but God always provides. Your faith in Christ inspires me. God bless you. rachel

Hi Jess,
Its Anne here from Sunny Sale (Jen and Andrews Bridesmaid) I messaged you way back at the beginning of your journey with Kaylee. I just wanted you to know that you have been in my prayers. It is so wonderful to hear that you are on your way home to your family. I continue to pray for you, Jon and your little ones as you journey the amazing field of tulips ahead of you.
I don't want to sound cliche ( i know you wouldn't want that) but I do need you to know that you have inspired me. I'm not sure if you are aware but I am expecting our number 4 and bub has been diagnosed with severe heart defects (specifically AVSD and possible HLHS) with a high chance of designer chromosomes to go with. I already have a 12 year old with Downs syndrome who has also joined the zipper club when he had an AVSD repair. He had his heart surgery in 2000 so although it was a while ago i am familiar with the wonderful world of 7 west, and was very grateful to see the door when we got to go home then too. Our babe is due in January and we will be in Melbourne at Monash Medical Centre and then RCH.
From one christian cardiac mum to another I would dearly appreciate your prayers for our little one. I am assured every day that God has a great plan (one that i too have an inner toddler that has hissy fits about sometimes)
Sometimes Miracles Hide and we just have to let them come to fruition in Gods Great time.
Anyway i have spent the last couple of days reading your journey. I am ever so grateful for your wisdom, you have helped me to
- pack my hospital bag with useful stuff like a book to read to my dear babe and batteries for my camera, a charger for my phone and my spare bible (duh i know but i just didn't know where to start until I read your story)
-Hold on to the grace of God
-remember to appreciate that having my husband beside me at night and my children under one roof is a blessing to appreciate and never take for granted
-remember that our babies are definitely children of God first and foremost. Any labels they receive after that are a bonus. I will love my babe with all my heart regardless of the fancy names it might receive.
-and a hive of other tidbits of wisdom that i am sure are still sinking in but will be relevant at all the right times (i hope)
-thank you Jess for blessing me and my family

Anyway, am praying for your whole families continued health and that your can spend time lots of time loving on each other. I know you are expecting to visit Melbourne again when Kaylee is bigger....maybe we will cross paths and we can share a famous mocha and a cheesecake (BTW i totally agree they should be medicare subsidized)

Love to all

Anne H
