Your step 2 is <I>exactly</I> what I just told my classmate might be helpful in his home since he was telling me that he and his wife 'cannot' accomplish anything in the afternoon around the house because their children are 'so wild' after daycare. I used your steps 1 & 2 every day when I was a full-time nanny (I often got the children out of bed in the morning and put them to bed at night), modified to allow each child to choose a puzzle, book, or LeapPad.
